  • Lots of great strands of  glass beads in all colors and sizes. Be sure to check out the new flower and leaf beads with summer projects in mind!
  • Need more bead storage to  go? We have a great new bead tube tower that holds 69 large tubes of  beads and 138 smaller tubes... or a combination of both sizes. This is a neat zippered, folding case that goes with you when you want to travel, bead at a friend's house, or work on a project in the summer sunshine.  All of your tubes are at quick fingertip access, whether it lays flat or stands up.
  • Dapping Blocks for your  metalworking. Make 6 different domed sizes from your metal blanks with  the wooden blocks, and even more in the metal blocks. We have the  dapping punches to go along with them, too. These are a must have for  making dimensional shaped earrings, charms, and pendants.

Wire wrapping is a technique that is a prerequisite for a variety of wire work designs. This class is perfect for beginners who want to master the essential skill of wire wrapping.  In this class you will learn the basics of wire wrapping a stone pendant. Class size is limited.

Create a miniature Fairy Garden to keep you company till the warmer weather sets in. The finished piece is 4 1/2" by 3 1/2".   You will learn about sewing beads on fabric and adding embroidery to embellish. The $5 supply fee will provide a frame and the background fabric. Embroidery threads will also be available.

Reticulated Silver and Tube Setting

Learn about reticulation, how it happens, and how to control it to make subtle or dramatic organic textures. Also learn the basics of tube setting. We will be using a manufactured tube setting with a faceted stone. It is a great way to add sparkle to your creations. In this class you will create two pair of earrings, working with the reticulation to get different effects. Then we will add a tube setting to one of the pairs and set a faceted stone. One for you, one for a friend, or keep them both for yourself.
Pre-requisite: Good torch skills

Create the perfect layered look with stacked rings in sterling silver, fine silver, copper or gold-filled wire.  These comfortable, stack-able, stylish rings you won't want to take off!  Will you want textured, beaded,tiny dot, twisted, skinny or wide?  So many design options!  We will learn soldering and fusing, and torch safety. This is a wonderful beginner class and introduction to using a torch.

Basic Metal Smithing Foundations are the building blocks for creating jewelry. In this one day metal smithing class learn the properties of different metals, the tools you will need and how to use them, along with techniques for cutting, piercing, texturing, shaping, filing, sanding, cold-connections, finishing, polishing and more. These techniques will create a foundation upon which all other metal working techniques will build when you are creating jewelry.

My newest jewelry making technique and obsession involves stamping  silver metal solder onto a copper backing, also known as Molten Solder Jewelry. We will be making several stamped pendants during class. Stamps will be provided but students are invited to bring their own.

Kieu has been creating jewelry for almost 20 years. She started from the need to “look the part” while working in retail management for Neiman Marcus. Making jewelry for herself and friends, Kieu’s jewelry line was created. Since then she has sold her designs to over 30 stores in 10 states and participated in numerous juried art shows.
Today, Kieu teaches jewelry making at numerous venues across the U.S. Teaching everything from beading to silversmithing.   In an effort to share her passion and knowledge for the jewelry industry, Kieu teaches a wide range of classes at her stores and throughout the United States. Detailed instruction and personal attention has been the key to success with her students.  Click here for more info on the classes she will be teaching.

Are you interested in learning the basics of bead stringing? We  schedule beginner classes on a regular basis - and also on request - so  you can learn how to put all of your beads in a row....AND make  some earrings to match. These classes are in addition to the Fall  line-up of classes. Call us to find out when the next 101 class will be  scheduled or what other classes we will have each month.

 - No credit for any missed classes or workshops or portion of classes or workshops.
 - No credit after class/workshop begins.
